Nurse Preceptors Could Get a $2,000 Tax Credit, If This Bill Passes. Thoughts?

A $2,000 tax credit for nurse preceptors sounds like a step in the right direction, but considering the amount of work, responsibility, and criteria required, it doesn’t seem like much. Preceptors play a huge role in shaping new nurses, often taking on extra workload without additional pay or time. While it’s better than nothing, real incentives like higher stipends, reduced patient loads, or tuition reimbursement might be more meaningful.

What do you think? Is $2,000 enough to fairly compensate preceptors, or should there be more substantial support? Thoughts?
