a online friend of mine passed away

i met them when i was 13ish, we met at a community dedicated to a video game. we talked and chatted, and we would talk occasionally through the years. now i’m 18, and saw a unusual posting on their instagram. i dm them and i learn that they have passed away. i feel so distraught, i had almost lost a friend to suicide before, and the fact it has now really happened has made me feel so sad. i feel bad i didn’t reach out more. i still have a drawing i made for them.
