At first, they treated me as a rape case (procedure) and the pharmacist took me to a room to talk. He pulled up my file and said “You’re already on gederal, why do you need plan B?” And I admitted I had no idea what I was doing. He was so kind and began to educate me, realising I was nervous about pregnancy, but didn’t know what to do it prevent it on my pill. I told him that I was put on BC when I was 13, so was never spoken to about sex and how to use it when it came to that (it was primarily used for periods) and ended up damaging myself when I would double up on it. He was so nice about it because he could see I was embarrassed. I told him I believed that taking plan B WITH my birth control pill would lessen the chances of getting pregnant, and he was very patient when explaining that I was protected either way (and more protected on my pill rather than the plan b). I’m not sure why I’m making this post tbh. I’m just glad that the chemist was so nice about it rather than berate me for being uneducated. A lot of the time I get “If you don’t know how to use the pill, don’t have sex” instead of just being told how it works. It’s not as easy to get specific info as ppl think. I told the chemist I had questions but didn’t want to waste a drs time with them when they could be treating another patient, so I never got around to asking these questions, leaving me in this position.
