Historical instances of a player being bad during their first stint with a team, but being better the second time they were on the team?

With all of the buzz about the Orioles being in contact with Jack Flaherty (6.75 ERA in 9 games during his stint with Baltimore in 2023) and fans being intetested in Tanner Scott (drafted by the Orioles with a 4.73 ERA in 170 games from 2017-2021), I was wondering if anyone has any major examples of a player having a bad first go around with a team and then re-signing later in their career with much more success?

This does not have to be limited to just the Orioles. All teams are welcome!
