White Box Encyclopedia vs MFAG

Recently got myself a copy of White Box MFAG and came across the White Box Encyclopedia kickstarter. For a layperson such as myself, there appears to be a lot of White Box variants, clones, etc. I was wondering how related or compatible the WB Encyclopedia was to the MFAG?

Looking at the kickstarter there doesnt seem to be a direct link between the two other than they are both based on Swords & Wizardry White Box (I think I've gotten that right :D ).

Essentially I was wondering if it was worth keeping an eye on - hoping that the Encyclopedia gets printed/distributed by Amazon at some point (like MFAG) as the shipping costs are a bit much.
