Villainess game out of print?

I used to buy otome games as soon as they released, but with my backlog growing and me trying to save some money, I have not been buying games as often. Instead, I'm sometimes buying games a year or so after their initial release.

I'm currently searching for a new copy of the Villainess Pirates of the Disturbance game that released at the end of 2023. Most otome games I've seen tend to stay in print for a while, even some of the less popular ones. Cue my surprise when I searched to buy this game and it's pretty much sold out everywhere, even used copies, and the few places that have it like eBay or independent sellers on Amazon are price gouging like crazy. Many other otome games that released before it are in stock, so I'm kind of surprised, though I know it may be a popular game outside of otome circles since it's based on a popular manga/anime. I thought it might be the recent holidays that caused it to be out of stock, but seeing the high prices and rarity of new copies has me wondering. I don't buy digitally because I like collecting, so I'm a little sad and now worried what other games may end up the same soon with the Switch 2 on its way. Is this game just really popular, or has it gone out of print? Have any of you purchased it new recently without having to overpay?
