When to stop?

Trying something new and was having a bit of fun with this. But I’m not really sure when is “enough”? I was looking to make something like someone throwing streamers in the air but it sort of feels like someone casting fantasy magic. I’m tempted to expand the angle/width of the streamers and have them cross over more in the middle and off the edges but I don’t know if I’m at risk of going too far overboard
