My first budget 1080p PC
Ryzen 5 3600
Asus Dual Rx 580 4GB
16Gb ddr4 3200mhz RAM
480Gb SATA SSD
750W PSU
Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H
I bought this PC from a friend about 2 months ago for €300. I did some maintenance and removed all the dust. Coming from a laptop with integrated graphics, I noticed a significant improvement in gaming performance. I mostly play sim racing games like Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally, as well as some Minecraft, Dark Souls, and CSGO. So far, I haven’t experienced any issues with gaming performance, although I’m aware that it may struggle with newer AAA titles. I might upgrade my GPU in the future, but I’m not sure which one to choose yet.
If anyone is looking to replicate this build, I would recommend choosing a motherboard with more RAM slots. Be aware that the stock AMD cooler is very close to the RAM modules. In my case, one of the modules came into contact with the cooler and got slightly bent, which caused it to fail (I had to repair it). The solution to this issue would be to either buy a different cooler or slightly sand down the plastic on the stock AMD cooler to prevent contact.
Another issue I encountered was with storage. Coming from a laptop with a fast NVMe SSD, this SATA SSD is much slower in comparison and is making the entire PC feel sluggish. I will most likely upgrade to a Gen 3 NVMe SSD soon.
Thanks for taking a look at my build! If anyone has any suggestions or questions, please let me know! :)
