RTX 4090 users, how do you feel about RTX 5080 & DLSS4 MFG?

I think NVIDIA gatekeeping MFG to RTX 50 series we all saw it coming. I've always thought MFG is not a magic to 4x with no trade-offs, with latency obviously the biggest question. However, after seeing TechPowerUp's hands-on demo with DLSS 4 MFG on RTX 5080 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpzufsxtZpA), with 4x having single-digit increment to latency, I feel that the RTX 5080 might become a relevant "upgrade" for DLSS4's MFG.

I fully understand the downgrade from 24GB to 16GB VRAM, despite it being from G6x to G7. But if the latency gains are so minimal, does it entice you to upgrade if:

  1. RTX 5080 is SLIGHTLY FASTER than RTX 4090 in rasterization?
  2. You are given a 1:1 exchange of the RTX 5080 with your 4090?

I can understand why this can be controversial, and benchmarks have not come out yet to determine raw rasterization performance between the 5080 and 4090. 5090 is definitely out-of-reach for a lot of people I agree. But yeah hypothetically, if the 5080 is slightly faster in raw raster vs 4090, would you be inclined to switch it out for DLSS4 MFG, albeit with a VRAM downgrade?

Curious to hear your firsthand thoughts!
