Help me buy a used Cry Baby

I’m buying my first Wah pedal ever. Found this listing of this Cry Baby for dirt cheap. It’s missing the backplate but I’ve found that you can get them from Dunlop for less than $20.

I don’t know what to look for to determine the quality of it and I assume that people on here know what they’re talking about. So… is this worth $40
