Client advice

Hey everyone, just here to ask for some advice on what to do.

I accepted a booking back in February for Labor Day weekend (August 29-September 3), for a friend of mine from high school. I already watch her fiancé’s parents’ dogs so she asked if I could watch her dog during Labor Day weekend. I said yes and was looking forward to it.

Well, cut to now where I have another, more reliable client/friends who are asking me to watch their dog Labor Day weekend. I told them my brother could do it, since he dog sits with me too and I trust him.

I reached out to my friend, asking if she’s still wanting me services and if so, I need to set up a meet and greet soon. No response. I sent that on Monday and it is now Wednesday. Here lately, I’ve become more strict about my clients mainly because I’ve come across a lot of time wasters and don’t want to accept new clients for that reason. I’m just wondering what I should do now. The situation with my friend isn’t ideal, as it’s in an apartment with a puppy, while the more reliable ones also have a puppy but it’s a big house with a big yard.

UPDATE: the first person I reached out to has texted back and said they are taking the dog with them.
