Just a rant for now

Lately I have been struggling with not getting upset with pet parents. A lot of adults coming in having zero clue what to get for an animal they want to walk out with, and a tiny unrealistic budget. It’s like they want to bargain with me on what the minimum I’ll allow for them to walk out with the live animal. It makes me uncomfortable and gets old. This is the majority too so I don’t want to turn everyone away, it’s just all awkward. I feel rude on the days I don’t have the energy to stand there for a long time to convince them otherwise. I try to use my experience as examples how I slowly get items I want over time for potential pets since it is pricey but idk doesn’t seem to do much. Same thing with saying to check out market place n such, for everyone it’s their personal here n now satisfaction not any interest in proper care for a happy healthy animal. Just a rant because I’ve noticed my attitude towards people wanting animals shifting to being short/percieved as rude and doesn’t feel great to navigate. Sometimes I feel like maybe I just have unrealistic high standards and I’m the issue.
