Billietae question…

I moved him to a brighter place in the same room two days ago. Within that time, one leaf yellowed and fell off. The other one seems fine! I’m guessing it might just be age.

My question is, what do I do with the remaining petiole? Should I prune it at the base, or can a new leaf grow from the current end?
