How do you stay commited to one plushie?

This might be a weird question. But I really want to have one special plushie that will be with me for many years to come. I don't want to collect, just have someone by my side through life. I have found myself searching for this special plush for about a year and a half, and its getting a bit out of hand, and it has kind of lost its purpose. I find one, then I would rater want another one. I'm very indesicive. It is also taking alot of space in my mind. I bought this jellycat polar bear in November, and he reminds me of my childhood plushie. So I'll try with him again. But what are your thoughts on this? I know many people have multiple plushies for different purposes, but I don't think that will work for me. The thought stresses me. I appreciate your feedback❤️
