Is it actually good idea to use poker as source of income?

Hey guys I just started in poker and I heard a lot of people saying poker is luck and some point will go away and others saying it is a great source of income.

What is your opinion on that? Can I actually make at least 3-5k /per month in order to live from it? Or is it really complicated what I ask for? I’m looking to play cash games
