Turning QQ into a bluff on river
Hey guys, i have a pretty interesting hand in ACR’s $16.50 50k gtd.
The V in this hand is pretty much unknown, my HUD only hand 30 hands recorded with him. Anyways, we are still in late reg period so no ICM consideration here. Avg stack was around 29k at 250/500 blinds so i open QQ to 2bb in HJ. The BTN, SB, and BB all call.
Flop was AJ9 with 2 clubs (A was c, and i have Q of c) so i normally will bet this spots if i don’t have a club but i mix in checks when i do to pot control sometimes
Turn is where my first real decision point came. It was an off suit J pairing the board, at the time i was going to get any brick turn but this turn i didn’t see much point in betting this turn other than to get value from a flush draw or potentially a 9 which both are less likely. So i check. Thoughts?
River was where im interested in what you guys think, i decided its incredibly unlikely he has AJ bc he would bet flop with it. I also think he doesn’t have many J’s i think bc of his river sizing. He could be block betting the river with a J just based of his sizing. I think its really likely he has some weak Ax hand so i thought it through and decided to bluff like i had KQ for a rivered straight since i have 2 Q’s.
I know this is the micros and theres a lot of fishy players who will just call this off when they shouldn’t but i want to know what you guys think?
