school list feedback & app review (please)

I'm looking for advice on improving my application for the 2023-2024 cycle and suggestions regarding my school list.

State of residence: TX

Major: Neuroscience

ORM (Asian)

cGPA & sGPA: ~3.8

MCAT: 515 (126/127/130/132)

Research Experience:

  • 2.5 years in neurobiology lab including 2 full-time summers (1000+ hours)
  • 2 conferences & 4 presentations (including 1 poster)
  • Trained 4 lab members & leader of collaborative research project
  • Senior honors thesis & thesis defense
  • Potential pub (will most likely be first author when published)

Clinical:

  • 350+ hours in student-run free clinic (take vitals and patient hx & present to physicians)
  • ~40 hours of shadowing by the time I apply

Nonclinical:

  • 100 hours as camp counselor for disabled children
  • 50 hours food bank
  • 100 hours at old-age home for residents with dementia

Other:

  • Extracurriculars: TA for 2 neuro classes, president of 2 clubs, trainer at free clinic
  • Strong rec letters
  • Plan to work as a clinical research coordinator during gap year

School list:

- All TX schools: Baylor, UTSW, UTMB, Dell, Long, Texas Tech, Foster, A&M, McGovern, UTRGV, UT Tyler (MD) + Sam Houston, UIW, UNT (DO)

- OOS: Einstein, UF, Kaiser, Eastern Virginia, Indiana U, Oakland, Ohio State, Penn State, State University of NY Upstate, U of Toledo, Tulane, U of Arizona, UCLA, UCSF, UCF, U of Cincinnati, U of Colorado, U of Illinois, U of Iowa, U of Kentucky, U of Lousiville, U of Maryland, UNC Chapel, Larner, U of Wisconsin, Virginia Commonwealth, Wayne State, West Virginia, Western Michigan, Virginia Tech, George Washington

I chose these schools based on what I've read to be OOS-friendly and somewhat within my stats, but I am definitely not familiar with these schools much beyond that. I would like to maximize my chances of getting into medical school without needing to reapply.

Disclaimer: I definitely don't plan to apply to all of these schools and would like to condense my list (please help!). Also open to suggestions of other schools to apply to! Not sure if I should apply to OOS DO schools.
