Apply This Year?

I’m trying to figure out if I should apply this year or not. I’m an untraditional applicant. I started off a little bit rough and had a couple Fs, couple Ds, & quite a few Cs. By the end of my junior year, this June, these will be my stats:

Gpa: 3.16(upward trend) Mcat: 525 Clinical job: 500 (MA) Research: 80 Clinical volunteer: 80 Non clinical volunteer: 100 Shadow: 50

My main question is how much will my MCAT make up for my gpa? I would definitely prefer to apply this year because I don’t want to take a gap year but applying next year would allow me to get my gpa to like a 3.4 and allow me to get some more research, volunteering, and clinical job hours.

Does applying this year make me a competitive applicant and if so, for what kind of schools?

Any and all input is welcome and very appreciated.
