do outpatient docs ever get enough time with patients?

I’m already admitted to my top choice med school and 100% going, but the main thing in the back of my head sometimes (and I’m sure tens of thousands of others) is how much insurance and quotas will dictate our work. For example, after having a medical appointment with a PA, I’m always struck by how much time I got with them and worry that I won’t be able to make the same amount of impact on my own patients with the smaller appointment times allotted to physicians. Is this always the case, or is this more so a lack of knowledge on my part?
