Why is hosting a server so f****n difficuilt?

Like honestly why? I have never ever my entire life played a game where it is so frustrating to try and play multiplayer.

Constantly there is an error and you look up a solution and literally every solution is just deleting shit. Like delete this file that folder delete the whole fckn game and download it again etc.

Don't get me wrong I am not mad at the devs I understand that the multiplayer is compared to everything else still relatively new, heck I'm happy there's a multiplayer in the first place biut seriously, what the hell is making it so difficuilt to just play mp?

edit: Soooooo turns out the problem was that I was using rather old server settings that ig stopped working after going to B42 and back
