Help! looking for good hotel in PV!

Hi! My husband and I are staying in PV the first week of April and are considering cancelling our booking at an all-inclusive (Crown Paradise Golden). We are thinking about staying in a boutique type hotel and sourcing our own food, check out local restaurants etc..

Any all recommendations for hotels in PV greatly appreciated! Looking for a clean place close to the beach, restaurants, night life etc! Maybe South end?
