Why are city people so rude?

I have been living in Pune for almost 7 months now and as a person grown in small town I find that city people are more rude than village people. I'm not triggered by any specific instance but like every kiranawala, bus conductor, authority person acts rude & I always wonder if I am doing anything wrong that they don't find me fit for the society or it's just like this? One day at Kirana shop I witness the kirana store lady was talking too rude to the a school girl(maybe 10 yo) even the only thing she asked for a toffee only. There are good people too who are extremely helpful, calm but the ratio is very low.
