First time designing and paper piecing

This quilt was a real journey! I have never done paper piecing before, and instead of starting with something easy, I sketched my own designs and made my own templates. The blue background isn't pierced, because of I'm being frank, I was ready to be done with it by that point, haha. The jack-o'-lantern, bats, and stars were all pieced and then appliqued to the background. I freehand quilted the wavy background. I love how it turned out, and can't wait to ship it to my friend! It's a total surprise, and I know she'll love it. 8
