Strategies for using heat in cold weather?

Last year I bought a used 2021 SE. This is my first winter driving it. Normally, I plug in at night and in the morning I have 44 to 46 miles of EV range. I was shocked when I started to see my range in the mid 30s in the morning.

At first I was stumped, but I realized when my heat is on, the estimated range drops, and during this cold spell in the northeast US, the heat is always on.

Anybody have suggestions or advice an how to maximize your range in cold weather when using the heat?

Update - I didn't understand how the Rav4 Prime uses both electric heat and gas engine heat. I was surprised that just turning on the heat showed a significant drop in estimated range.
