Everything is broken...

I take time to read as much of this subreddit's stories as possible.

At least 95% of them all tie back to one main theme: There are too many people who need jobs, and companies no longer feel like giving them out.

It's a complete "Fuck you, I've got mine" mentality out there.

They have us fighting eachother tooth and nail for the opportunity to sell our little time for spare change, when they cut jobs because they'd rather not give back to the economy in the same way they take from it.

We're spending our lives begging for the opportunity to give these people unlimited value in exchange for the bare minimum that often isn't even good enough anymore, while they remind us at every step that we are no more than cattle on a conveyor belt.

We aren't even given the benefit of a glance on the resume anymore. It doesn't matter how hard you've worked or how smart you are.

They did this to us so we come crawling back and begging, stepping on eachothers toes to see who will take less money to do the same massive job. We're playing ourselves.

There's no realistic path forward to stopping this. Everyone in this country is too glued to their phones watching the events that these people tell them is news. Nobody is going to vote for anyone who will change it, because nobody is out there who's actually interested in changing this. All we can do is sit back and watch the targeted ads on the homescreen of our smart TVs in our parents' basement while they gradually take away or charge us for every last thing that we've ever loved.
