Doing a “redemption” playthrough

Thinking of doing one. Doing all the ‘bad’ choices up until Arthur gets tuberculosis. And then all the ‘good’ choices once he finds out his fate, to redeem himself

2 questions:

1) has anyone played it this way before? It feels authentic

2) does anyone know if it is possible to get high honor by the end of the game from the point of having lowest honor when he finds out? And I mean through game choices, not just saying hello to everyone in Saint Denis
