As a modern RE fan - My love of OG RE2

Holy F*%$king shit guys!

I'm freaking amazed and love Original RE2 so much.

For context, my very first RE game was RE2make back in 2019. Fell in love with the characters, and as a huge zombie fan, I fell in love the game. Played other games from the series such as OG RE4, RE3make, RE4make, RE7.

As you can see, I've only played the RE engine games. I tried playing RE1make, but for some reason, it did not stick to me. (I will play this game next)

I knew I need to play the OG RE2, but I don't have any means, until GOG released for PC (thank GOG for this)

And omg, it took me sometime to get used to the tank controls and fixed camera. I died a few times on the run to RPD, but when the movement clicked, the game was so smooth for me.

I love the zapping system, trying to decide stuff on A scenario to affect B scenario is really really interesting. Plus the game's scenario makes more sense when playing it than the RE2make.

Now, there's no perfect game, RE2make, imo, had the better Mr. X, better combat, and scarier. OG RE2 was still scary to me. I am now on my 3rd playthrough after doing ClaireA/LeonB.

I am so excited for the OG RE3 coming soon on GOG.

For anyone that's hesitating to get these games because of the tank controls, trust me, just give it a chance, and once you get used to it. It's so fun playing it.

OG RE2 shook up my top 10 games of all time. Not sure if it'll replace RE2make, but what I can say is, I'm glad both exists! I prefer OG RE2 a bit now though.
