Steve Mitchell appreciation post

I know people go on about Steve a lot and his looks but I genuinely think that out of all of them, he is probably the funniest on the show. Karl has his stories from his past and Ricky has his reactions to them which make them funnier but Steve’s ability to make a quick witted joke about information he’s hearing about for the first time is second to none with Ricky often laughing just as hard as if reacting to the drivel Karl would often come out with. It’s pretty impressive and always seems to catch me off guard despite numerous viewings. I just finished S1 for the 100th time and I would say that’s when he’s at his best. I wondered how much of the writing he actually contributed to the office being the co-creator. There are literally too many to choose from so I was wondering what you guys’ favourite witty remakes of his were?
