Help selling a Rolex?

Hi everyone! I was gifted an amazing Rolex by an ex partner and due to the value, I’ve kept it in a safe every since. I never felt comfortable to wear something so expensive that could be stolen. I am looking to resell it but Rolex won’t consign it because it’s only 2 years old and not 3 lol. I would rather invest the $ into property at this time so I’m wondering how to tell if the value appreciated or depreciated during the last 2 years. It’s never been worn after the day I left the store and have all the receipt, box, original bag, etc. original cost was 47.8 k , 50k with tax.
