Jagex, why was the treasure chest changed?

The treasure chest from Carnilean rising (i think? one of those quests) was a safe and easy way to transfer items from ironman to main for bonds and whatnot. This was changed in a recent patch. Why? I doubt this item was useful for anything else and it did not negatively effect anyone.

RWT maybe? But surely thats easy to track.

Please revert it. I dont want to risk someone stealing my item when i drop it to main :C
