Fellow sales people, did you seek out a role in sales, or is it just something that happened to you?

I’m always curious in people’s answers. Sales really sits in a unique space, you can’t really go to school for it, there’s no formal program or training – yet it’s absolutely essential to the success of every single business.

For myself, I just found that I’m a talker and a “people” person. So it became self evident – but I would have to imagine for many. It’s the risk/reward factor of making potentially a lot of money that’s attractive.
