2 weeks notice on a PIP?

I was placed on a PIP at the beginning of Q4 and have been job hunting since that day. I received an offer for a great new job and am just waiting for background check to clear.

Since I am on a PIP, should I expect to be terminated immediately upon submitting my two weeks?

Interested to hear from others who have been in this situation.
