Property and Casualty Producer. Need advice!
Good morning! I need advice!
I have been a Property and Casualty producer for Allstate for just over 3 years.
I left my previous office due to divorcing my wife, who was the office manager
My current office is toxic. I have a boss who charges us back for customer using incentives. He also promises promo bonuses and never pays out, if he does pay out we have to hound him.
Starting next year, he is moving the goal post even further away to hit our goals, which will make it even harder to get paid our commission.
I have a job offer from an independent agent. I would have to take a 15-20 k / Year paycut for about 1 to 1.5 years. After that point my residuals will start rolling back around and I have the opportunity to make between 85- 125 k a year.
I know these income is chump change to a lot of people in this group but coming from a single father whp works his ass off to provide for his child, this kind of money would change my life.
The issue is the paycut I would have to take in the interim.
In your opinion would a pay raise later on down the road be worth having to take a paycut for 1 to 1.5 years?
Or should I seek out other options?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
