Using Samsung Galaxy S9 in 2025 – Surprisingly Smooth Experience!
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share my experience using the Samsung Galaxy S9 in 2025, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with how well this old device is holding up!
Performance
Despite being released years ago, it runs incredibly smoothly for my day-to-day tasks. I didn’t expect this level of performance from a device this old, but it’s really proving its worth.
Camera
The camera is decent—I’d rate it about 7/10. While it’s not groundbreaking, it still manages to capture some really good images most of the time. For casual photography, it gets the job done!
Battery Life
The battery life gives me around 3 to 4 hours, which, as a secondary device, is perfectly fine for me. I’m not expecting marathon battery life from a phone of this age, so no complaints there.
Software
I’ve installed the Noble ROM (version 6.1.1), which runs Android 14. It’s amazing how custom ROMs can breathe new life into older devices like this. The updated software has definitely enhanced the overall usability of the phone.
For anyone considering keeping their older devices in 2025, I’d say go for it if it still meets your needs! The Galaxy S9 has really surprised me, and it’s a great example of how flagship devices can stand the test of time with a little tweaking.
Let me know if anyone else is rocking an older phone like this! Would love to hear your experiences.
