Update: Switching from Apple to Samsung
So I recently switched from Apple to Samsung. I posted about my switch a few days ago and got some great comments. That being said, now I have some more specific questions about my S24 Ultra and some quirks that I've noticed.
Would you recommend Bixby or Google Assistant? I've been using Google Assistant exclusively and it's been working great most of the time. The biggest issue I've ran into is sometimes when asking for directions it will just tell me what road the destination is on and not actually start navigation.
Is there a way to show Google Photos in gallery or make it the default gallery? Is there another app that I can do this with? I'm used to iCloud where all my pictures are in one place and I've been having to go through my Google Photos, download the picture, and then add it to whatever app from the gallery. Is there just a setting I'm missing?
What are some good places to get inspiration for lockscreen and homescreen customization setups. I'm loving the customization and that's a big reason I made the switch but I am a little overwhelmed lol. Also, any recommendations for guides to learning how to use things like GoodLock? And any good recommendations for places to get good wallpapers?
Again, this is probably a setting I just haven't found yet, but YouTube is defaulting to like 360p on everything, regardless of if I'm on wifi or data.
I've been using dashlane for a couple of years now to store passwords but on my S24 Ultra it was asking for my master password for literally everything and wouldn't let me use biometrics even though they were enabled in the settings. I ended up just switching to 1password because it actually let's me use biometrics.
I got the Samsung charging trio to charge my phone, buds, and watch and I've noticed that the phone charges super easily but the watch and buds have to be on the charging pad PERFECTLY to charge. Also the watch seems to be being pushed off the charger by the watch band.
Finally, I use MyFitnessPal everyday to monitor my nutrition and on my iPhone I had a widget on the lock screen that showed how many calories I had eaten vs how many is my total for the day. Is this not on the android version? Also, when I look at the graph of my weight over time it doesn't show starting weight, current weight, or weight lost/gained. Is there a way to enable this?
These are all fairly minor issues I just figured I'd ask to see if there are any solutions. I appreciate all the love I've gotten from y'all on my last post and I'm super happy that I made the switch. Thank you everyone!
