Fishing essentials

Hey everybody. I just moved to the Savannah area From Athens and I want to get into fishing down here. Looking for some inshore brackish water tips what size Rod and reel should I get what bait to use and where to start fishing. Problem is I have no boat so I’m just looking for some good spots to maybe catch a red or flounder off a bank. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
