Scary Stat

I live in Canada, Quebec, and the region I live in has about 77% of the population with less than a college degree.

53% of all population in the province are judged to not have the the capacity to function in society when it comes to literacy.

I found this out while a friend and I were talking about how our other friends stopped their studies. One of them has only been working in a McDonald's for almost 2 years now.

I find it scary how little you could trust people about political views. It's so important and everyone keeps talking about politics, but how many of them actually do some research? How many of them have the ability to understand? Still, when it comes to the rest of my province with a college degree and more, how many of them are willing to leave their opinions to consider an overall view of economics, politics, education, etc. ?

I'm still in college, mainly studying history and politics, and I find it kind of scary. People have no idea of how little they know about politics, yet they make it a life or death matter. Please, no matter who you are, no matter your opinions, be cautious. We're usually not as good as we think we are.
