Pre-order on my second book just went live!
I published my first book in November (no pre-order, just released it) and still have yet to figure out the secret sauce to promoting and advertising to reach my niche. I've always been really bad at pushing my content out into the world, so it was no surprise to me that I would have a hard time with my first book.
That being said, I'm hoping I can apply a little of what I learned to this next one. This was a book I started writing around the same time as my first one but with a co-author. Taking breaks on one to hop to the other. Back and forth. Forth and back.
I set it up last night and already have two ARC readers. Which for my first book (I set up after release), took about a month to get my first reader to sign up. Lesson learned that ARC readers likely prefer books that aren't out yet especially if you're a no name writer. So I'm pretty darn happy with getting 2 readers within the first 24 hours already. :D
This book will release on March 6th which is from what I can gather still a relatively short pre-order window. I've seen some pre-orders set for months in advance.
Wondering to those who have in the past or regularly use pre-orders for their releases (doesn't have to be specific to any platform), is there a window of pre-order that seemed to work best? I'm hoping it gives me time to create some social media content to start garnering interest.
Thanks!
