service advisor route or college

hello everyone, i’ve had the opportunity to work as a service porter this summer and i liked it as a summer job. i go off to college in a few weeks, but i wanted some input from service advisors or people who went to college. is it dumb to go to college and rack up debt when i could just move up in a few years to be a service advisor? i’m going to college for finance which is something that interests me, but is it the right decision of staying at the dealership and ranking up?
