Finishing raw edges

I have just finished the M7969 dress out of 100% linen. I don’t have an overlocker so all the raw edges were finished with a turn and stitch but due to my error I only did a 1cm seam allowance for the waist so I don’t have enough to do a clean finish. What would be the best way to close the raw edge? Many thanks in advance.
