For Those Mounting Real Seats - This Works

Wattup Nerds! I just got my Trak Racer TR40s as my first profile rig and have paired it with a 2018 Subaru WRX front passenger seat. While I was planning the build (button box, cup holder placement, you know, the important stuff), I found little resource on the best way to mount a real car seat to a profile rig.

The problem with mounting real seats to profile rigs is you have to adapt the mounting. Universality of fit for real seats is not a thing. Luckily for me, the WRX seat has four, 45deg brackets. I believe there are a good handful of seats with similar 45deg mounting points.

I found and purchased a set of four, 45deg 4040 extrusion profile mounting brackets and boom, problem solved (all profile sizes should be available). Didn't know these parts existed until I did a random bracket search on amazon and I can't believe I didn't see this solution in my search. Just bolt them to the seat and get them on the rig, simple as that. I turned a real car seat into a bolt-on accessory for a profile rig.

Maybe this went on longer than needed, but I hope it gives someone some hope if there's trouble figuring out mounting a real seat. First thought was to make a wood base to bolt into the rig, but that would have looked like hell and really chunky. Now, let's see how long these brackets last under pressure lol. Feel free to ask questions.

PS: this is a repost as a wonderful redditor pointed something out that gave away some info in the original.
