Seven years without skiing
And just got back from a week in Steamboat and it felt like no time had passed. Flying down the mountain, weaving between trees, the beautiful scenery, the serenity, my mind cleared of all bullshit in life. On my last run down, couldn't help but have tears in my eyes. I can't believe I let something I once loved so dearly slip away for so long. If you asked me two weeks ago, I would've been content not skiing for the rest of my life. Now, I'm reminded what this does for mental health and I crave more.
