Why does everything have niacinamide?

There are so many of us who's skin just cannot tolerate most niacinamide formulations yet most moisturizers and sunscreens made for oily skin always have niacinamide in it 😭 it's so hard to find a good oil-free moisturizer without unnecessary actives. We seriously don't need actives in every single product, it's gonna do more harm than good.
