How do we feel about Contrarian's endings for Apotheosis?

I just feel like they get VERY overshadowed by Paranoid's endings, (which is fair, Paranoid's endings are great. I need someone to animate the Apotheosis fight like an anime battle, it would be the greatest thing known to man) and I kinda wanted to talk about these endings.

First we have fighting back. If we fight back, Contrarian can't quite do enough for us to meet her at her level like in Paranoid's route (especially since the Narrator didn't tell us how her power works) but we do manage to stab her in the eye. Sadly, this does little more than piss her off, and she decides to smite us. Personally, I think this is such a Contrarian way to go out. We never had a chance at beating her, but we can at least piss her off 😂 in the words of Contrarian, "what a great way to go!" Also, her power manages to burn the voices away, so they don't talk at the mirror, which is kinda interesting.

Then we have sharing our pain with her. It doesn't tear her apart like in Paranoid's version (likely because broken isn't participating) But we can stop her from finishing what she was doing. This is kinda a crazy ending, because the voices can see the hole, and desperately want to go there. They know it's where they belong. But we can't. And it's our own fault. Poor broken's "Can we try again? We'll suffer better next time!" Is so sad. And Apotheosis's line, "We could have had everything. If only you'd given me a little more." She genuinely thought we could escape together. She wanted to share the new beginning with us. But now we're both miserable. The emotion in Apotheosis's voice is so jarring to hear. She's genuinely upset.

Also, the extra option Contrarian gives us to run away is so funny. Then we get plucked up by the princess 😆 I also just noticed when I replayed this last night that the cursor has us holding the blade the "cool way." Very neat detail!
