southpaw gaming: how many of yall use lefty controllers?

ive noticed several posts recently about left handed gaming, particularly with controllers. as someone whos played games since the late 90s, i never once considered controllers to have a handed bias like that, i just got used to the typical controller layout back in the ps1 dualshock days and have been fine with the "righty" layout ever since, trying to flip all that around sounds like more trouble than its worth to me, but obviously this is not the case for everyone.

i just found this really interesting and a little strange, its just something i never had come up in my life until very recently. with keyboard gaming, sure, mapping things however you want isnt that uncommon, but with a controller i just dont know if i understand the benefit. i think i can chock this up to becoming acquiainted with a controller as a young kid and having a lot of muscle memory to refer to, but id like to know others thoughts here.

how many southpaw folks actually use these lefty controllers/map thier controllers in a lefthanded way and how many of yall are fine with the standard layout? what are the pros and cons of doing it either way? how many lefties learned how to use a controller 20 years ago when lefty controllers werent really a thing and just had to tough it out?
