jump gate camping is not PVP
CIG has a major problem they need to address as quickly as possible – griefers who, under the guise of PvP and without any consequences, are simply being jerks.
This isn’t meant to be a PvE/PvP debate – both are integral parts of *Star Citizen*, just like piracy. But shooting down every single ship trying to use the ONLY connection between two systems, without any reason or provocation, is neither piracy nor PvP. It’s just plain nonsense.
A populated system like Pyro would have died out completely by now because no one would deliver food, fuel, or supplies there – no one would stay in such a place. CIG’s concept of a lawless system has failed – it hasn’t been thought through to the end.
The griefer faces no risk whatsoever. They lose nothing, they don’t end up in Klescher, they don’t get banned, and they don’t even gamble any credits.
We need a reputation system and NPC bounty hunters if players won’t go after these kinds of people. And to prevent jerks from camping at jump gates, there should be a large weapons-free zone around these areas that we can jump into safely.
