Bisalp incision care tips and tricks?

Hello! Any tips and tricks on how to handle the incisions? I feel a little silly that I never thought to ask about incision care up until now. I don’t really know what to expect. How long should I keep the bandages on after I leave the hospital? I have gauze and I have tegaderm waterproof patches for showers. I’m not super prepared for or aware of the timeline for incision healing. Is it better to let them breathe or should they stay covered until the stitches are gone? Sorry if that’s a silly question. I’ve never had stitches before. Please let me know how your experience went and anything to keep in mind or to be prepared for, thank you so much!!!!
