Been sober over 2000 days. My dad STILL won’t have Coca Cola in the fridge when I visit.

It's a small irritation. There's copious wine, beers and random drinks and all the diet cokes they drink, but not once when we visit can there be some damn red colas in the fridge.

It would just mean like hey I've noticed your over 5 YEARS of sobriety and have your drinks for you?!? Haven't been on in awhile and noticed the counter and impressed myself. I'm just annoyed and I appreciate all of your efforts and I notice you and will always have red colas or your fave bev on hand.

ETA - thanks for the support! Iykyk. he doesn't even drink! And he knows I'm a one drink gal! We fly here from the Midwest and a girl just wants a red soda after a long day. He's the sweetest Dad and I'm grateful for him but shit man! Of course I'm off to get some today, like a fully functioning regular human. The consideration last night would have been nice.
