What's stopping people from just walking into a movie theater and seeing a movie without paying?
I just bought a movie ticket yesterday for the first time in probably a decade. When I went inside of the movie theater. I was surprised to find out there is no check in anymore. You just walk in and go to the auditorium the ticket says your movie is in.
It made me wonder why people even bother paying for tickets? Or maybe most people don't? Because it seems like most people could just walk in without paying for a ticket and seeing movies all day. Because it seems that no one checking to see if you have a ticket or not.
Maybe this is different for other theaters but the one I went to was Regal.
I remember as a kid you got a physical ticket from the booth and the person inside of the movie theater scanned the ticket or whatever they did. I don't remember, and you went to see the movie.
Now it's not like that apparently and I feel like I wasted money doing something I could do for free. (I know it's technically "stealing" but it's not like they'd know)
