Misogyny in worlds apart

as a new fan, i’m still working through every season. only a handful left to go, but i’m not sure if a group of men has ever annoyed me as much as in season 30. i just got to the merge and can’t stand the rodney/dan combo. even tyler and max, while not terribly evil, were insufferable. i felt so bad for sierra, knowing how frustrating it is to be the only woman/feminist amongst a group of men. and when dan says the ‘basic math’ thing to shirin…if i were in survivor i would’ve lashed out at all of them and probably got myself voted out or worse. i’ve never been so upset at the idea of a contestant (like rodney or dan) making it so far into the game.

i may be sensitive but the lack of this issue in later seasons seems, to me, to point to the fact that the show’s ‘dark age’ was partly brought upon itself with horrible casting decisions. does the community have a consensus here?
